Anti-plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Board of the Technical Mechanics emphasizes that authors bear full personal responsibility for any improper borrowing, use of others’ research results, and adherence to the principles of scientific citation. Only original materials that have not been previously published are accepted for publication.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must ensure:
- the originality of submitted articles (materials must not have been published in other journals in any language);
- the absence of plagiarism;
- proper references to relevant sources when using the works or texts of third parties.
Plagiarism Check
The journal uses dedicated software to detect text borrowings in submitted manuscripts. The originality percentage is calculated by checking documents against both the local database and the Internet. The resulting report is reviewed by the Editorial Board.
Evaluation Criteria
- More than 80% originality – the manuscript is accepted for review;
- 60–80% originality – the manuscript is returned to the authors for revision with recommendations to address text borrowings and resubmit;
- Less than 60% originality – the manuscript is not accepted for consideration.
Consequences of Plagiarism
Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable. It is considered unethical and a violation of professional standards governing the relationships among authors, reviewers, editors, publishers, and readers, and it contradicts the journal’s Publication Ethics policy.
If plagiarism is detected after publication, the Editorial Board will conduct a thorough investigation. The author will be contacted and informed of the situation. Depending on the severity of the plagiarism, the article may be removed from the journal’s database.
